Where did my customized template go?

When I copy a template, it appears in my institutions DMP templates. However, when I use the Customize link, instead of the "Create a new template" button, I can save a change, but the template does not show up in my institutions templates. Should I be customizing instead of copying? Customizing before copying?

Thanks! I think I am following. Is there a way to get a listing of all the templates I've customized, or that someone in my organization has customized?

You should be able to copy a template, then customize it. Sounds like your order is correct, but I'm not sure what exactly the issue is. There is help documentation available for customizing a template: https://github.com/CDLUC3/dmptool/wiki/Template-Customization#customizing-a-template

If this doesn't answer your questions, please don't hesitate to contact us. Screen shots might help us better understand your issue.

The customize feature means that you are adding resources to an existing template (guidance, help text, links, etc). It does not mean that you make changes to the template. If you wish to modify an existing template, you can copy the template, then make changes to the copy. The new copied template will display in your list of templates after you save it.
